Ocean Hackathon 2020

Ocean Hackathon® is an initiative by Campus mondial de la mer which encourages sharing, the use of new digital technologies and an entrepreneurial spirit. The resultant projects enhance the value of marine and maritime data, often by repurposing it. Data providers focus their efforts on improving data accessibility and comprehension and are involved in coaching participants throughout the event. Since it was first launched in 2016, Ocean Hackathon® has brought together a new community around the ocean and digital environments. Originally based in Brest, it was extended in 2019 to other venues in France and beyond. Ocean Hackathon® will be held simultaneously in nineteen cities in 2020: Ancona, Boulogne-sur-mer, Brest, Cadiz, Cardiff, Cartagena, Castellon, Champs-sur-Marne, Deshaies, La Rochelle, Le Havre, México, Nantes, Rimouski, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Saint-Malo, Sète, Split and Toulon.

Sea Tech Week 2020 – Virtual

For more than 20 years in Brest (France), Sea Tech Week® has forged and strengthened international collaboration and business in marine science and technology. The virtual Sea Tech Week® will continue to be a cross-disciplinary platform bringing together researchers, businesses, representative from institutions and students. The virtual Sea Tech Week® is organized by the Campus mondial de la mer community (Bretagne, France), which will share its expertise in marine research and innovation. Especially, the core theme of the 12th edition will be: “Observation: from seabed to space”. You’ll be able to participate in all the moments of Sea Tech Week® wherever you are in the World.

Canadian Seafood Show 2020

The Canadian Seafood Show has the distinction of being Canadian’s first seafood show. This edition, which takes place in Montreal, will show off Canada’s seafood industry  to the world. The international component provides an opportunity for Canadian buyers  to meet with suppliers from visiting countries and discover new products and new flavours. Technology will be showcase  with a section reserved for packaging, weighing and processing equipment etc. Informative conferences will be offered on subjects including  sustainable, eco-responsible fishing, stock renewal and traceability.
